Ho’olu komo la kaua (Please join us)

We’re opening up our shores to welcome friends, neighbors and visitors to the Chamber of Hickory Nut Gorge’s Lake Lurau on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 7-10 p.m. Nestled in our picturesque mountain backdrop, the Lake Lure Beach offers the perfect venue for this inaugural event, which will feature an expansive Hawaiian buffet with slow-roasted pulled pork, chicken, and baked fish. There will be entertainment by The Big Kahuna Hawaiian DJ and the He’olina Leo Ka Ke Aloha Dance Troupe performing and teaching traditional Hawaiian hula dancing. Along with a cash bar, the Lurau offers plenty of fun Hawaiian games for kids and the young-at-heart.

Tickets are $30 for adults, $15 for children 12 years of age and younger. Registration is available online through our events calendar. Tickets can be purchased throughout Chimney Rock Village and by contacting the chamber office at info@hickorynutchamber.org or 828-625-2725.

This fund-raising event supports the programs and work of the Chamber. All monies raised stay within the community to support our mission to help make the Gorge a great place to live, work, and play.
