KidSenses Children’s InterACTIVE Museum, First Friday every month in 2015
Fantastic Friday’s free admission program! The museum will provide free admission on the first Friday of every month throughout 2015. KidSenses will welcome all visitors, free of charge, to visit the museum from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. On each Fantastic Friday all visitors will be able to participate in free, fun, exciting and hands-on learning programs about science and energy. 2nd Annual Cycle North Carolina Mountain Ride and Festival

The Cycle NC Mountain Ride offers various mileage options ranging from 11 miles up to 80 miles throughout the majestic mountain roads of Lake Lure.
On Saturday, Aug. 2nd beginning at 4pm in Morse Park Meadows riders and their guests will be treated to an outdoor festival filled with entertainment featuring food vendors, a beer & wine garden, live DJ, fire pits and plenty of fun activities. Celebration of the Arts

Lake Lure Olympiad Sports Festival

Lake Lure Olympiad’s “3 Races in 3 Days Challenge” will kick off on Friday, August 14, 2015! Begin with Opening Ceremonies and the 10K Dam Run on Friday night at 7pm at Rumbling Bald Resort. Saturday, August 15th, the Lake Lure Triathlon happens at the beach of Rumbling Bald Resort at 8:00am. The Junior Olympiad begins at 9:00am! Then on Sunday morning, August 16th at 7:00am, close out the weekend at top of magnificent Chimney Rock with the Race to the Rock, a 25-mile bike or 5K run that ends with a 6% grade incline three miles straight up to the top of Chimney Rock. www.lakelureolympiad.com
