Lake Lure Classical Academy held its Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Tuesday, August 18 at 10:00 a.m. The ceremony, which was open to the public, had several dignitaries in attendance including U.S. Congressman (N.C.) Patrick McHenry. The event included prominent speakers, a brief video presentation from the TeamCFA Foundation and the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon by school administrators and board members. Guided tours were given and the Lake Lure Community Education Foundation (LLCEF) offered a special presentation immediately following the ceremony.
When the doors opened for the first day of school on September 1, LLCA welcomed over 100 new students. Enrollment is still open for all grades, but School Director Jessica Boland said, “I encourage anyone interested in enrolling their child to so as soon as possible.”
