NHS Officers: Wyatt Jones, Jen Boland, Victoria Anderson, Kaley Stanley, Tristan Morse, and Advisor Kimberly Hutchins.

The Lake Lure Classical Academy National Honor Society Officers traveled to Washington, D.C. in January for the Leadership Experience and Development (LEAD) Conference. At LEAD, students and advisers sharpen their leadership skills to improve their school culture and community while networking with their peers from around the country. The conference offers training opportunities for both students and advisers on a variety of topics including leadership, student voice, civic engagement, service, and activities.

LLCA NHS Advisor Kimberly Hutchins said of the experience, “This opportunity gave our students a chance to step outside of our community and network with students across the world.”
