This year LLCA-CFA will have four students “graduating early” which means they have met all requirements of LLCA-CFA and the State of NC to earn a High School Diploma. These students are: Mia Karr, Elizabeth Hahn Kiara O’Shields and Rachel Wasch. These outstanding scholars are very motivated and looking forward to the next challenge. They will come back to walk the stage with the Class of 2018 at Isothermal Community College on May 31, 2018.
The 2017-2018 school year has to this point been outstanding and we look to continue our positive strides. Enrollment continues to grow as families see Lake Lure Classical Academy as a tremendous asset for their students. We are very proud of the good work of our students and teachers as we were recognized by North Carolina for Achieving a School Report Card of B and for Exceeding Expected Academic Growth. Here is the link to our school web page where you can access the NC School Report Card and learn a lot about our school: www.llca.teamcfa.school
Starting January 2, 2018 Lake Lure Classical Academy-CFA will have a full time School Resource Officer assigned. This is a cooperative agreement with Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Chris Francis has been a very supportive partner in this endeavor. Our new School Resource Office is Cpl. Paul Mitchell and he will be a very welcome and valuable member of our school community.
On Wednesday December 13, Mrs. Marisa Sudano’s students taking Principles of Macroeconomics gave presentations on World Currencies and Markets. Mrs., Sudano is one of the outstanding Instructors from Isothermal Community College teaching Lake Lure Classical Academy students who enrolled in the Dual Enrollment Pathway.
