The Rutherford County Master Gardeners will hold their annual Spring Garden School on Saturday, March 10, 2018. This year’s theme is “Gardening Smarter, Not Harder”. The Spring Garden School will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Rutherford County Extension Center located at 193 Callahan-Koon Road, Spindale, North Carolina 28160.
This year’s keynote speaker is Annie Martin, author and owner of Mountain Moss Enterprises in Pisgah Forest, North Carolina. She is a nationally-recognized expert on moss gardening and will speak on “Year-round Green Appeal: Get Smart with Moss”. She will also be selling and signing copies of her book “The Magical World of Moss Gardening”.
The Spring Garden School will also have 11 garden professionals offering class sessions on a wide range of gardening subjects during the day.
The Spring Garden School cost is $20.00 which will include lunch by Medina’s Cafe.
We will have vendors selling garden gifts, plants and other garden related items. The Spring Garden School is open to the general public but you must register to attend. Please call the Rutherford County Cooperative Extension Center at 828-287-6010 for a registration packet to attend this event. The deadline for registration is February 26, 2018. NO walk in registration the day of the event.
