Naturalist Niche: Spring Migration Bird Walk

This hike is considered easy- to- moderate.

Cost: Includes Park admission: $23 Adult, $8 Annual Passholder, $13 Youth (ages 5-15), $6 Rockin’ Discovery Passholder. Advance registration required.

 

Mother’s Day Weekend Special

Saturday-Sunday, May 12-13

Cost: Buy one regular-price adult ticket and mom or grandma receives one free with our online coupon. Coupon required; download one at chimneyrockpark.com and present it (in print or on your mobile device) at the Ticket Plaza at time of purchase. Valid May 12-13, 2018.  Make plans to stay after your visit to the Park and enjoy dinner and the Symphony of Rutherford County at the Gathering Place in Chimney Rock Village Saturday evening beginning at 6pm. This special concert is the grand finale of the community’s annual SpringGo event.

 

Memorial Day Weekend Family Fun

Memorial Day is often thought of as the kickoff to summer fun, and Chimney Rock has all the activities to make that happen. Saturday through Monday your family can enjoy exploring the Park’s trails and visiting with our Animal Educators in the Animal Discovery Den.

Naturalist Niche: Fall Creek Exploration

Saturday, June 2; 9:30am-3pm

Hickory Nut Falls is one of the highest waterfalls east of the Mississippi River. A common question we often get from Park guests is “where does the water come from.” This hike offers the rare opportunity to explore the origination of the feeder creek, Fall Creek, and follow it as it leads to the upper cascades of this beautiful waterfall. This hike is considered strenuous.

National Get Outdoors Day
Saturday, June 9; 11am-3pm. Program and hike times vary
Join Park Naturalist, Fox Mountain Guide rock climbing instructors and other area partners to learn more about how to experience the great outdoors from many different angles. Guided hikes, rock climbing opportunities and special activities will be held 11 – 3. Find more details at our website.

Father’s Day Weekend Special

MAY 12   Annual SpringGo Celebration, CowPie Bingo Raffle & Spring Concert of the Rutherford County Symphony Orchestra at the Gathering Place Amphitheatre. 5:30 pm, dinner available for purchase. Concert, 6:30 pm.  Concert admission, $6 adults. Kids 10 and under, free.

 

JUNE 28   Music Thursdays Outdoor Concert at the Gathering Place, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Dinner available for purchase.  Performers: Lake Lure Cloggers & the West Inn String Band.  Admission charged.
