Let’s celebrate today! Yes, I mean it. We are seven plus months into this pandemic. We can recite by heart all of what we need to be doing to stay safe. We all want this to be over. We know it’s not good for us to be in any kind of lockdown. We love our freedoms. So let’s celebrate life each day! Let’s not give Covid any control over our lives because every day is precious. So, here’s my Covid to do list – it’s really quite simple:

Be more of everything good and give it your best Pollyanna spirit. Be kinder, more generous not only with your resources but with your words and actions. Little things matter a lot right now. Remember what your mama taught you and be polite. Bring back from the past written notes of encouragement – and write few, too. Make a phone call to one friend who would be thrilled to hear from you.

Br grateful for what you have. There are many people suffering or hungry or weary. Reach out and make one person’s day better. You know how to do that. After all, we are a blessed nation. It’s time to celebrate life. Because now, more than ever, we know how precious life is.

When you get weary, take a break and then do good all over again. And when we sing Auld Lang Sign on December 31, we will most happily say good-bye to 2020 and hope for a much brighter 2021.

We can do it. One day at a time. We’ve got this. Take good care.
