The social group Rumbling Bald Fun and Friendship Group, known for many years as the Rumbling Bald Home Owner’s Association, has disbanded. The group was formed in the nineties exclusive to property owners of the Rumbling Bald Resort.  In 2018 the name was changed and the group was open to the public.

Memberships dwindled last year due to Covid 19. Planning and execution of social events that included entertaining, dining mostly in indoor venues and gathering in crowds became impossible to plan.

Past President, Randy Snyder commented “this collective decision was profoundly difficult for me personally after seven years of wonderful memories and friendships created in roughly 50 events, all a huge success in different venues. The planning, working with entertainers, food and beverage persons and venue managers added to the friends made!” Group officers Randy Snyder, Crystal Morrison and Dick McCallum, made the unanimous decision to dissolve. After thoughtful consideration, the decision was made to fund the following local charities with remaining funds:

Bill’s Creek Volunteer Fire Department, Fairfield Mountains Fire Department, Hickory Nut Gorge Outreach and Hospice of Rutherford County.

I extend my personal heartfelt thanks to the officers who volunteered over the years.  Each event took lots of planning.  It took a “village” to make it all happen. Thanks also to the members who chose to forfeit their 2020 dues for the community’s benefit, and for so many happy memories through the years. The future is bound to be bright.
